      We were scheduled for routine maintenance. Giovanny was on time and very courteous. Went right to doing his job . We had to have repairs that was done by Shaheed. He was also on time went right to work to find the problem. Once Shaheed found the problem he went over all the cost with us before beginning the work. He had us up and cooling by dark.

      I have to update since this company was supposedly bought out by a company In Michigan recently.

      I called the main line on a Saturday around 1:47 pm I got a receptionist and discussed with him what was going on. I also proceeded to tell him since they were working on a rental please call give me all paperwork. They immediately asked for my credit card.

      Then around 4:30 I get a call from one of their technicians named Izzy who told me he was charging me 145$ just for the service call then $145 to diagnose and $349 for Clogged condensate Drain Line. Both my husband and I were shocked at this price! They also charged my credit card 640$ immediately which is not right! I had not even seen or received an invoice!

      We should've been it is price gouging !!!

      I called them back on Monday and spoke with a customer service manager who told me basically it is what it is here is a year of complimentary service on us. Unfortunately this was not enough to keep me as a customer in the future.

      I was quoted a price for a new HVAC system, they didn't complete the installation timely. (still not done). Also are trying to charge more than the quoted price. This is to correct the install of the unit. I was misinformed by two different people so far. They refuse to make it right. They put rocks under the hurricane pad after they placed the unit. Then stacked the rocks up around the hurricane pad. Those rocks will become projectiles when a lawn mower gets next to them. I was not consulted about any possibilities of install. Luis told me people make mistakes. when I said I should not have to pay for the company's mistakes he smiled and shook his head. See for yourself what they think is a good install.I would not reccomend this company to my worst enemy.

      I will say one more time, your company did not scam me, it was a poor choice of words. My only problem was the pricing of the shut off valves, $100 each. If it wasn't for that part of the quote I would have had the work done by your company. Sorry for the misunderstanding

      Standard AC check up on Monday. Technician showed problems with unit, warned of possible failure soon. Got a quote for a new 4 ton system with heat pump. Scheduled for installation next day.
      Next day crew arrived to install. Brought a 3 ton system. Glad I caught that. When investigating air handler, discovered that ductwork should be replaced to increase efficiency for 4 ton system. Another quote resulting in a huge total bill.
      Arrived Wednesday to install new ductwork and new system. 4 man crew spent 8 hours here.
      Thursday discovered that Modern Services had installed the wrong system. Only AC, not AC and heat pump that I had paid for. Also, Modern Service serviceman arrived to patch drywall where air handler had been. Made a mess on the garage floor. Nice patch job, but sloppy cleanup.
      Called Friday, explained situation. Can't do anything until Monday. Monday came, and they called and cancelled until Tuesday.
      Tuesday 2 man crew came 3 hours later than stated and installed proper unit. Unit a bit noisy. Crew wanted to install another return placed in dining room wall. Declined.
      On top of all this, we had problems getting the proper invoice that showed the work done, proper units, pricing, etc. It took three tries before it came out right.

      5 months later I discover that the ultriviolet lamp system was not installed as contract stated. Called, and it was corrected.

      On the first cold day of the season, I turned on the heat, and NOTHING! Nothing but cold air. Called another AC service and they found that the unit was improperly wired. A link on A./H cotrol board not clipped. Reprogrammed the Tstat as well. It cost me $90, but was worth every penny NOT to have to deal with this company again. Goodby Modern Services!

      My experience with Modern was great. The technician was prompt, explained pricing, and resolved my AC issue. I would recommend and use Modern again.

      Had a routine preventive maintenance check this week in our HVAC unit- Modern's tech, Jose, was early to notify us of his schedule, he came on time and all went well. He also identified an emerging problem with our unit's coil and offered a reasonable solution. Great job by all

      Do not use this company. Prior to buying my condo in Naples, this company came out to put in a new AC unit, the past owner obviously didn't do his homework. After the recent Hurricane, our AC would not turn on, so we called this same company since they did the original install. The quote on the phone was 112.00, once he was there, turns out it was only the thermostat. While I was not watching, the technician, Elis Quiala, put in a new thermostat and then handed me a bill for 576.00, once I complained, he said he "just realized it was the wrong part" so the new fee would be 376.00. I told him the part only cost about 26.00 at Home Depot and told him to take out the thermostat and I would do it myself. He did, my ending bill was 112.00. Watch out for this company. I believe their sister company may be called Anderson Air.. Run
