Happy Earth Day from Cypress Bank & Trust! Today, we celebrate our beautiful planet and renew our commitment to environmental stewardship. Recently, all Cypress offices have removed plastic water bottles and replaced them with reusable glass bottles. This will save roughly 27,500 plastic bottles from entering landfills. What’s the impact? Here are some important averages for the production of a single-use PET bottle: Water: It takes roughly three times the bottle’s water to produce it. Carbon Dioxide: The production of each bottle emits about 82.8 grams of CO2. This change will save approximately 41,250 liters of water that would have been used to produce these bottles and reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 2,277 kilograms. If we all work together to be more conscious about how our actions impact the environment, collectively, we can make a massive impact and improve our beautiful planet!
